We noticed that Kirstie Alley apparently is dating a man some 40 years younger than she is. While we have no opinion one way or another about it, we were curious about this and so we asked 1,000 men: Would you date a woman 40 years older than you? Here’s what they had to say:

79% said No

11% said Yes

10% said “It’s possible”

This is even more interesting when we asked the same 1,000 men about wanting to specifically date Kirstie Alley today (May 10, 2011.) The answers:

87% said No

9% said Yes

4% said “It’s possible.”

Why would the men not want to date Kirstie specifically:

“She looks better now that she’s on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ but she seems like a lunatic. Too much to deal with.” – David, 22

“No way. She seems like a psycho. I don’t think it’s appealing after you said you did it. At some point, you need to be aroused.” – Phil, 25

“It’s not because she’s overweight. You can get by that. It’s that raspy smoker voice that kills it.” – Steven, 23

Note that this was not a weight issue. Men had no real problems with that. The real mistake is assuming that just because Kirstie Alley is famous, rich and on TV that men would want to date her. It looks as though men still need to be with someone that they feel is mentally stable which they cite as more important.

Apparently, Kirstie Alley doesn’t at present, fit the bill for most men.

Has chivalry gone or is the economy just that bad? Are men just complete deadbeats that expect to go dutch on dates? Not really, but you should be ready to pony up. Why? Here's what 1,000 men had to say about paying for dinner on a date:

Has chivalry gone or is the economy just that bad? Are men just complete deadbeats that expect to go dutch on dates these days? Not really, but you should be ready to pony up. Why? Here’s what 1,000 men had to say about paying for dinner on a date:

60% said Yes

18% said No

22% said “It depends”

The 22% was the interesting number for us. What are the conditions for men where “it depends?” Turns out there is some decent feedback as to why:

“It depends. Did I ask her out, then yes. If she asked me out, I’ll probably pay or go in on it with her, but she should be ready to pay. Especially if the date sucks.” – Joe, 32

“If I’ve been seeing her for awhile, I’m not the ATM, she should pay as often as I do. It’s only fair. If it’s at the start of a relationship, she should be prepared to pay or pay half” – Larry, 41

“Hey, they [women] have just as much money as I do these days. They can pay when I can’t.” – Rob, 28

The men that stated ‘no’ also had some interesting feedback. Why would they not pay? What are the conditions where they wouldn’t pay for dinner? Here’s a sample from this group of guys:

“Women ask me out all the time. If they ask, they pay. That’s just the way of the world these days.” – Dominic, 27

“Whatever the reason I go out with women, I make it a point not to do dinner unless she asks me. If she asks me more than likely she’ll be paying. I do the same thing.” – Tony, 24

So there you have it. Most men still pay for dates and the data showed us they really don’t mind paying. Perhaps it’s an ego thing? Maybe the more male ego saying “I am man and I pay.” That’s fine too. It looks like men paying as a dating standard is still in play. But, with the advances women have made in the workplace, with money and with the confidence of asking men out, there are a number of men that are OK with having women buy dinner for them. So ladies, best to have the men ask you out, but be prepared to pay or pay half. (Even if it’s only to pay to get out of there on a bad date.)

Sex Mistake: Pegging is something a guy would like

Urban Dictionary defines pegging as: anal sex reversed. You can look it up and get the longer definition for yourselves. But the question that women have asked recently: Is pegging something that guys like to do? Read on for the answers...

Ok, before we even start getting into what guys think, let’s take a step back. Urban Dictionary defines pegging as: anal sex reversed. Instead of the guy sticking his penis in the woman’s butt, the woman wears a strap-on and sticks it in the man’s butt.

Now that we’re all clear on what pegging is exactly (not all of us are that well versed in all things sex), we asked 1,000 guys, do guys like pegging?

An overwhelming 72% said that they either do not like it (42%) or they refused to answer the question (30%) which could mean that they did not know what pegging was, too macho to fess up (even though this is all anonymous), or too disgusted with the idea to even justify it with an answer.

So, of the 42% percent that said they don’t like it, let’s examine why.

“I think because it could be perceived as humiliating, at least in some cultures and could provoke some discomfort or even pain in the inexperienced.” – Age: 45

“As much as I might like her playing around down there, I definitely don’t feel comfortable with anything in my butt.” – Age: 28

“No, because most men aren’t comfortable with their sexuality. They define pegging as a homosexual act; therefore, afraid to put it out there to women in fear of being labeled as gay.” – Age: 21

Next we’ll examine the 28% that admitted to liking pegging and why.

“I myself many a times feel like pegging and the act done by my wife. This is enjoyable overall.” – Age: 30

“I’m bisexual and I like to be fucked ” – Age: 34

“Yes, because it give a lot of pleasure and gets rid of the tiredness. You get charged up once you start pegging.” – Age: 32

Well, there’s no real good way to sum this one up ladies. But I will say, you learn something new every day.
